== Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) == In December 2013, the UFC began a campaign to drug test their entire roster randomly all year-round. Random testing, however, became problematic for the promotion as it began to affect revenue, as fighters who had tested positive would need to be taken out of fights, which adversely affected fight cards, and therefore pay-per-view sales. If the UFC were not able to find a replacement fighter fights would have to be cancelled. According to Steven Marrocco of MMAjunkie.com, about 31% of UFC fighters subjected to random testing since the program first started have failed due to using performance-enhancing drugs. That is approximately five failed tests for every sixteen random screenings. No fighters are exempt from these tests, no matter how big or small. Former Bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw tested positive for EPO following his fight with Henry Cejudo in January 2019. Jon Jones, the former Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion in the UFC, tested positive for banned substances in June 2016. Jones urine was found to contain Clomiphene and Letrozole which lead to a one-year suspension from the sport. Another highly decorated fighter by the name of Anderson Silva tested positive for two anabolic steroids following his bout against Nick Diaz at UFC 183. The steroids were methyltestosterone and Hydrochlorothiazide. From July 2015, the UFC has advocated to all commissions that every fighter be tested in competition for every card.
=== Reasons for splits and cracks during timber drying and their control === The chief difficulty experienced in the drying of timber is the tendency of its outer layers to dry out more rapidly than the interior ones. If these layers are allowed to dry much below the fibre saturation point while the interior is still saturated, stresses (called drying stresses) are set up because the shrinkage of the outer layers is restricted by the wet interior. Rupture in the wood tissues occurs, and consequently splits and cracks occur if these stresses across the grain exceed the strength across the grain (fibre to fibre bonding). The successful control of drying defects in a drying process consists in maintaining a balance between the rate of evaporation of moisture from the surface and the rate of outward movement of moisture from the interior of the wood. The white shark is the sole living species in the genus Carcharodon and is one of five living species of the family Lamnidae. The other four members of this family are the mako sharks, porbeagle, and salmon shark. The family belongs to the Lamniformes, the order of mackerel sharks. The white shark first appears in the fossil record in the Pacific basin around 6–5 mya, between the late Miocene and early Pliocene. Like all sharks, the white shark's skeleton is made primarily of soft cartilage that does not preserve well. As a result, the overwhelming majority of fossils are teeth. Nevertheless, paleontologists have traced the emergence of the white shark and its immediate ancestry to a large extinct shark known as Carcharodon hastalis. This species had teeth similar to the modern white shark's, except for the cutting edges, which lacked serrations. C. hastalis occupied a similar position in the food web to modern white sharks and was probably mostly fish-eating, with some marine mammals in its diet, though its lack of serrations made it a less efficient predator of them. Around 8–6 mya, a Pacific population of C. hastalis evolved into C. hubbelli. This divergent lineage was characterized by a gradual development of serrations over the next few million years. Teeth from the same time period may exhibit significant variation in shape and their serrations, which may be indicative of persistent interbreeding with C. hastalis for at least some time. === Strategic Alliances === Grifols has pursued public-private alliances around the world. In 2020, Grifols signed an agreement with Egypt’s National Service Projects Organization to establish Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives, a joint venture building the first integrated platform for sourcing and producing plasma medicines in Africa and the Middle East.
